| 21 + 3 |
Put a stake on the 21 + 3 box and if your 1st two cards and the Dealer’s 1st card make either a Flush (all 3 cards the same suit), a Straight (all 3 cards in sequence) or 3 of a Kind (all 3 cards the same rank) you win 9 times your stake.
This is the standard 21+3 side bet rules and with 6 decks this gives the house an edge of 3.24% which is very modest in side-bet . However there are different payout versions of this game which might tempt more players and they are appearing online. |

Among the early authors who wrote about card counting Over/Under 13 was Stanford Wong. Wong created the highly effective Crush count that could be simultaneously used to count both the Over 13 and Under 13 bets.
- A, 2 = +2
- 3 = +1
- 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 = 0
- 9, T = -1
Player should play the Over when the true count is +3 or higher and the Under bet when the true count is -5 or lower. In this way, the Crush count yields 0.682 + 0.352 = 1.034 units per 100 hands in a six-deck game.
